Hybid solutions combining on-premises and the cloud

Hybrid architectures are used to enable several different scenarios within the enterprise. At its core, the concept of hybrid allows an organisation to have systems and solutions that exist both on-premises and in the cloud. These are connected and integrated to behave as a single cohesive unit.

Hybrid is used for a variety of reasons including:

  • Systems can be moved, project by project, as a stepping-stone to full cloud-adoption
  • When systems, for either support, legal or compliance reasons (be that data or licensing), are unable to be moved to the cloud.

The key to understanding the reason and rational behind the need for hybrid and define a unified approach across the Cloud Operating Model.

Potential Benefits

  • Ability to skill staff gradually.
  • Ability to scale to the cloud on demand.
  • Ability to use cloud services whilst maintaining on-premises sovereignty.
I work with organisations whose businesses are built on people and professionalism... I needed a Microsoft partner that I could trust and have confidence that they would listen to the customer, understand their needs, and be able to translate that to our technology, delivering a professional solution that would delight and impress in equal measures. Many of my colleagues at Microsoft recommended Black Marble and had great things to say about them which provided me with the confidence that I had the right team for the job and now, having worked with them personally, I can safely say that I tryst them to continue doing a great job with my customers.
