Sponsoring the Safer Cambridgeshire Policing Awards 2024

November 25, 2024

Black Marble had the privilege of sponsoring the Commitment to Safeguarding award to Sarah-Kate Watson at the Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s annual award ceremony last Friday, an event which recognises the commitment all the officers, staff and volunteers have to protect the people of Cambridgeshire.

Congratulations to the deserving winner Sarah-Kate Watson! Her nomination read:

“Sarah-Kate has made an exceptional impact in her role supporting street sex workers in Peterborough. Her consistent engagement and professional approach have built trust and confidence within this vulnerable community, leading to increased reporting of serious offences. Sarah-Kate’s flexibility in changing shifts and providing extended support demonstrates her dedication. She has identified and addressed gaps in support for women with no local connections, collaborating with partners to enhance safeguarding measures. Despite having other responsibilities, she achieves results comparable to a dedicated liaison role, significantly improving the constabulary’s response to protecting some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.”

The event also raised more than £355 for the charity COPS (Care of Police Survivors), through a raffle of prizes donated by the award sponsors and companies the force has worked with over the past year.
